I actually was out at NASA today in Houston. Their visitor center attractions are awesome. I highly recommend it.

One interesting thing I picked up that was particularly amazing to me...

We visited the historic mission control (it's a national historic landmark in case anybody didn't know) and the guy said that all the computers were hooked to a gigantic mainframe and all the data the entire room was working on was less than 2 MB.

If you've taken 3 pictures on your phone, you've already used more MB than Mission Control did for the entire Apollo 11 mission

It's expensive and we've already done it. Once it becomes a fraction of the cost we'll go often I'm sure. It's better to use our budget on other ventures like going to Mars or other moons
