"Kiss her here, here, and here. She will probably tickle your prostate, but trust me, its worth it. Pull her hair and she doesnt mind if you dont pull out."

ETA: Damn, sorry to hear the ex is a douche. If you want to date the girl, sadly he will be around throughout. If he was a douche like that at a bar its an even bigger red flag.

Could you convince her to give it up for adoption? Tell her you could never love the child as your own and it's either you or the kid.

Perhaps you should ask her out on a date and see how that goes before contemplating your relationship with her toddler.

If she's good looking, regardless of her situation, she might have other suitors wanting to bang down that door.

Never assume that it is just going to default to you because of her circumstances... Ask her to dinner or lunch pronto.

Run!!!!

I dated a woman who had a kid from a previous marriage for three years. It was terrible. Dealing with the crazy ex, ex's family, ex's new wife, and ex's new kids was hard.

My girlfriend wanted to eat dinner at her ex's parents house, go on vacations with them, go to the ex's kids tee ball games (these kids was not hers). He did not pay child support but she would let his family borrow money from her. Wanted me to run errands for them and do stuff for them. The list goes on and on. It was a nightmare.

It is not worth it. Just run away as fast as possible. Don't look back. Run!!!!!!!!

I will never be able to understand why a guy/girl who doesn't have a kid would be interested in someone with a kid! Do you know how many girls/guys there are out there!?! Why subject yourself to that?

Invite her to lunch and see if you can find out about her past. (Is there an ex husband, bf, etc..)

Once you have some knowledge of her history the decision should be an easy one. (Date or abort).
