We ate at this one a lot growing up. I don't make it out to Plank Road very often anymore.

Piccadilly's Carrot Souffle is to die for

It was one location...... on Plank Rd. It's not my favorite place to eat, but it's still good food.

Grew up in the late 80s/ early 90s going to Piccadilly in Alexandria with my grandparents after church on Sundays. So many great memories. Living in Baton Rouge around 2000 I would go to the one on Government. I remember being amazed they had a guy playing live piano. Felt "big city". I think my GF at the time thought I was cheating on her, because I would just leave and go eat by myself there sometimes when I needed some solitude and a good cheap meal
Came across one in Jacksonville, FL a couple years ago. It was sad. Like watching Brees in his later, noodle arm years, a shadow of former greatness. Food wasn't very good and interior was beyond dated. Found out it closed a few months later. Only one left in Florida now is in the Miami area.

But only one BR location?
And that location probably had an excessive amount of employee theft?
A higher rate of employees that can’t show up on time, can’t provide good customer service, and high turnover because…you know.

We lost both of our Picadillys year ago.

Delmont Village
Living just north of Baton Rouge, this was a part of town that we frequented in the late 70's to the mid-80's. Kroger, Woolworths, Howard Brothers, K&B, The Rebel Theater, Krispy Kreme, and of course Delmont Village.
Delmont Village had a J C Penny, a Sears catalog store, and the Piccadilly.
Ate at that Piccadilly many times. There was a conveyor belt that ran from the dining room to the kitchen where the waiters would return the trays of dirty dishes. It had two windows, so I would watch as a tray was placed on the farthest one and waited for it to pass the next window. I didn't have a smart phone. Entertainment was simpler.
As a kid, I would get the fried cod and french fries with some color of Jello. As I matured, the chopped beef and gravy over mashed potatoes were my norm. Piccadilly had a smorgasbord of home style veggies and that placed it above standard road fare. The desserts didn't disappoint either.
To this day, I like to visit around Thanksgiving and Christmas for their turkey and cornbread dressing. It's changed in quality, but still good. As someone already pointed out, the prices are outrageous. It's $20+ for an adult meal.
Piccadilly bought out Ralph and Kacoo's and ran them into the ground. It's no surprise that they will ultimately fail. For now, I'll stick with the memories of eating there with my mom and grandma when they shopped for my school clothes nearby.

We’d eat at Piccadilly and then go to Tony’s

Did you have a 5 year old ask again and how y’all made all that food and made it look so nice?
I was probably that 5 year old

I would go to a Picadilly all you can eat buffet. But as one poster put it, it can get pretty pricey.
My favorite thing about going to Picadilly was going down the line and picking way more items than my stomach could handle. Then getting floored on the price.
It loved the carrot souffet. The Silver Slipper makes a good one. You have to garnish it with powdered sugar that you get from the funnel cake station.
My big issues right now with restaurants is the cost. Drink cost has gotten out of hand. I went eat our with some co workers and Applebees was charging nearly 4 dollars for a sweet tea. Lunch items were 10 to 14 dollars and by the time you add a tip that is a 20 dollar lunch easy.
