I would imagine he probably envisioned more "support" for what he was about to do considering a racist symbol was flying over his state capital.
Maybe, but that was probably a pretty small contribution to his delusion of grandeur. I'm sure he envisioned himself kicking off a race war, awakening the sleeping giant of the white race and becoming our leader.
Of course, few white people view the "white community" as a thing in any other contexts besides FBI crime statistics and tax paying, so we all said "frick that guy" and prepared for the backlash from an eager media that has been patiently waiting for one of these mass shootings to actually be committed by a "conservative."

No I don't. Mental illness can be cured or controlled. You can't cure killing a group of people because you hate the color of their skin. At that point you have crossed the line and need to be put down.

Not totally disagreeing with your larger point but I just posted a link on the Poli board to where a white supremacist donated almost 10k to GOP presidential candidates. This is the same white supremacist that was quoted by the dbag Charleston shooter. For some reason white supremacist are identifying with the message conveyed by the GOP.

I'm not defending the guy, and I agree with those who believe that the best thing that could have happened would have been for him to off himself or have been taken out by the police.
What I'm saying is that the hate wasn't caused by mental illness, but the actions likely were. A little more complex than being a dumb count.

That just means that a politician won't turn money down from anyone.

He was an uneducated, drug-addled loser who was mad at the world and took it out on black people. I think y'all are reading into this guy too much.

I'm sure white supremacists lean GOP because the GOP isn't actively trying to guilt and shame white people about shite they're not involved in like the DNC does.
Similarly, as the DNC is involved in such things, I'm guessing radicalized black folks favor the Democrats over the GOP.
Also, not everything agreed with by a white supremacist makes it a part of the white supremacist ideology. I mean, I'm guessing plenty of racists favor low taxes and reducing government bloat, but anyone trying to connect that to white supremacy is a fricking hack.

"What I'm saying is that the hate wasn't caused by mental illness, but the actions likely were."
So if the hate wasn't caused by mental illness, what was it caused by? Was it caused by some systemic racism? I keep reading various opinions on social media saying systemic racism is to blame and I just ain't buying into it.

I would imagine most racists are on the govt teet and are receiving food stamps or welfare so I'd bet you are wrong.

No. Instutional racism caused his arrest to be without injury.

He is a POS who murdered good people. Blame him, nothing else.

Apparently you don't realize that a lot of white recipients of welfare programs still vote GOP. It's alright, as many on my side refuse to acknowledge this.

Not sure if serious. Are you saying he wasn't beaten/offed during arrest because he was white, or that he didn't resist because he was white? I don't know whether it was black, white, or some combination of officers who arrested him.

That wasn't my point. I know they vote GOP. You suggested their alliegence to the GOP was economic I disagree. Their hatred of minorities supersedes their concerns over keeping their govt handout or they are just too stupid to understand the correlation. I would also imagine many feel that minority privilege is what is keeping them down and the GOP will help them rise in socioeconomic rank.

I was listening to NPR this morning, and some black folk sure do think so. They think that this is an example of how all whities hate them and created an environment that allowed a person like this to develop. She claimed that fitting because she doesn't like white people either.
This "historian" lady also claimed that the criticism that Obama has gotten during his presidency is just iron clad proof of institutional racism. Disregard the fact that all politicians are criticized.
It's just moving the goal posts to where it becomes racist to criticize any person who happens to be black. Or in other words, it's a bunch of bullshite.
