Did anyone else get a 23andMe kit for Christmas and send it in immediately?

If so, in what stage of the process are you?
They received mine and gave me a 1-2 week window from the date it was finished prepping which was the 9th.
I’m stuck in queue for extraction.
I’m assuming there was a log jam because they made a big holiday marketing push but curious if anyone here has gotten past where I am.

In all Arkansas Zip Codes it’s labeled “21andMe”.

My lady and I did the Ancestry one. It wasn't as detailed as we would have liked so now we're doing others from Family Tree DNA.
But the DNA test did turn up matches of some "long lost cousins" of mine from at least 4 generations back. At some point some 3rd great uncle had a kid and didn't claim them. If you think about it that sort of thing probably happened a lot in the days before (legal) abortion, birth control, and DNA tests.
It did get me working on my tree again for first time in over 10 years and I've found a lot more info out there. I already had about 900 people in my tree but now there's about 2000. I've found 4 Revolutionary War vets so far. Fun stuff.

Sent an Ancestry one in for my mother. She just got an email notice this week specifying a 1-2 week wait.

it generally takes a bit, as the holiday season is their big rush time. Pretty damn cool when you finally get the results, though.
