Did Amazon recently change their delivery system?

So I saw a thread earlier this week mentioning Amazon vans. Well Sunday I was expecting a package (I wasn't home) and got a few calls from an unknown number that I ignored. Later in the day I get an update saying my package wasn't delivered because they couldn't gain access to my building. It looks like its an amazon tracking number now instead of a UPS one and now I can see on Amazon where the driver is and where my apartment is on his route. I buy things from Amazon all the time and have never experienced this before. Is this a very new service or have others noticed this going on a while?

It is terrible. Unmitigated nightmare. Lost, damaged, thrown in my bushes in the rain. bullshite excuses about knocking on door when I know for a fact they didn't and not having a secure place to leave something (no sig required and I've lived here 15 years and never heard of such. I have a very private house and covered front porch).

It just started in the br area. I'm sure it'll take some time to weed out the shitty drivers

Amazon has their own delivery system now (they still use UPS and USPS too) run by what is essentially franchisees.
We've had it for a year or two and it was a little rough at first. Now it's pretty reliable.

Yes. Amazon Logistics. I had my first dealing with them this past week. Prime Order, was supposed to be delivered Thursday. Order tracking shows the order out for delivery that day, and even shows the location of the truck all around my neighborhood that afternoon marked as "one more stop" until it disappeared. The package was finally delivered Saturday afternoon.

One just came in the office looking for a building location. She was still driving her own car but said she gets an amazon van next week.

Yup. Just had a package failed to be delivered twice even though I've relayed to Amazon that my porch while open is perfectly safe as I've never had an issue. THe first time I contacted amazon and they were supposed to relay this information to me but today still the same thing happened.

I have been seeing the Prime van all over my area, at all hours day and evening for a week or so, now.

AMZL US?
It's a mess. They do post a photo of where they left it, which is interesting. OTOH, Amazon doesn't seem to know where the packages are going. For one package, I got multiple emails telling me it might "arrive later," but it arrived on time, and on another, I got multiple emails telling me it hadn't been delivered, when it actually had, and that one culminated in an automatic refund for non-delivery.

I've noticed their hub near Costco. Probably have around 50 vans there.
Our neighborhood has had lots of issues with them so far. Our streets are showing up in their system as being around Burbank when we are located off of HooShooToo.
