Did Amazon completely remove expedited shipping from Prime?

I knew 2-day delivery has been hit or miss for a long time now. But quick glance lately is that the estimated delivery dates for every item on Amazon is the same whether or not I am logged into my prime account or not. Looks like it is 100% time to cancel

If true, what is the point of prime?

New CEO has been cutting cost everywhere. I assume that this is part of that process.

I have no idea, about to cancel. I just checked a dozen items and every delivery date is the same. Prime vs Non-prime

I never order much from Amazon so I just take advantage of the free prime trials I get 2/3 times a year. Worth it.

What is the point if the shipping times are the same?

Is anyone else seeing the exact same thing as me?

So you can watch crappy Thursday night NFL football.

Other than that, delivery options have been slacking in my area. I can remember when prime meant two day delivery at most and one day shipping options based on the size of the object for an additional fee like 5 or 10 dollars.

Now it seems like if I want an item on a certain day, I have to plan ahead. Some times if I wait a day or 2. It will jump to Monday or Tuesday. One item I ordered on Tuesday, part of it will get here on Friday, and the rest on Tuesday.

Yes, Amazon is starting to suck. At this point, I see them headed down the same path as Sears.

Prime is half cost for EBT folks.

Once again, the rest of us are paying more to subsidize the poor.

It was back to one day shipping on a lot of stuff right up until some annual shopping event that happens at the end of November every year...

They were bad for a while during covid but lately it has been fine.

Especially since Prime Music is crap now. Before, you had a limited set of songs/albums, but you could play anything in that library on demand. Now, if you select a particular song, it plays something "similar." You can listen to specific albums, but it won't play the songs in order. And, it limits you to something like 3 skips per hour.

And, to make this shite sundae even more delightful, they're aggressively pushing their Amazon Music service--so much that my kids have inadvertently upgraded to it 2x since the change--both times via Alexa and both times to the $16/month "family" plan, not the cheaper $8 single device plan. Amazon will cancel it without issue with a chat, but it takes 15 minutes and it's something that never happened before the change.

Between that, the price increases (up to over $10/month annually), and the extended delivery times, I'm seriously considering cancelling next time around.

I still get most prime items same day or the next day. At the latest it’s 2 day delivery here

For what it’s worth, Walmart + gets your stuff to you in 2 days and is generally cheaper than Amazon.
