fair enough.

I come from a Baptist family, so that certainly rings true.

Jews can use an interfaith chapel the same way non-Muslims can use an ablution station.

Except that ignores the entire point: why the facility exists.

The interfaith chapel was intentionally created for multiple faiths (in 1977). The ablution station is being installed specifically to accommodate an Islamic religious practice. (in 2026)

Here's the underlying point I'm trying to make: At some point, accommodation starts looking a whole hell of a lot like preferential treatment. We should at least be allowed to question where that line is without being told the question itself is illegitimate. (because that’s coming if we don’t question things now. you know this)

The simple solution is to take all the religious stuff out of the airport. Or have a multipurpose lounge where people can do whatever but it’s self-directed without specifying that it’s for religion.

like a carpeted gym. i love that idea.

i'll take my kids in there to play while waiting to board.

The muslims can pick at their dirty feet and do their chants in the corner, while my kids play tag and make fart jokes at the top of their lungs.

I don't want any footwashing in public places, no matter how secular it is

agreed - and I’m pretty religious

I make sure I go to Mass when necessary. I don’t need a chapel to say my prayers - and I’ve never been stuck in an airport where I may miss my Sunday obligation.

I understand that Muslims are supposed to pray several times a day, but what was done before washing stations were put in? They can’t go outside with a bottle of water? It’s ridiculous how they are catered to.

how many bloomin onions would it take to feed the apostles and Jesus?

Do we include Judas, since he leaves early?

Just one and let Jesus do his work splitting it up.

Probably can do one less chocolate thunder from down under for the table to account for Judas.

Ah yes, pissing, shitting, and Islamic ritual ablution. The three universal biological functions.

Good. Screw the muzzies. We are a Judeo-Christian nation. We should not accommodate muzzies or hindus. There should be 9/11 remembrance stations at all TSA checkpoints to remind us the only reason we go through TSA is because of muzzies crashing planes into buildings.
