Don’t know, nor do I care, if it’s illegal. But what I do know is the notion of a “station” in public for men to wash their nasty, disgusting feet is one of the most gross things I’ve ever heard of.

Walk through the kitchens of the restaurants that you eat at and watch their dishwashing. You won’t look at the next taco (or feet washing station) the same.

Is being a boring contrarian the same as calling out bullshite statements

You definitely are consistent though

Ah, got me. Now that I answered your question, you can dodge it.

What specifically is “bullshite” about Abbott’s argument?

Well, that is what I was asking. What is illegal?

They already exist in the airport and he hasn't taken any of the action he is threatening to take now.

I stopped at the Love’s truck stop on I-10 in Iowa to take a squirt and there was a dude at the sink in the restroom washing his feet. I don’t about all of you, but I’d rather he use a foot washing station than washing his feet in the sink where people have to wash their hands.

Why are their feet so dirty at the airport?

I already answered what Abbott claims is illegal: a government-owned facility providing accommodations that favor one specific religion. (goat frickers)

“But they already have some” doesn’t explain why that legal argument is bullshite. It just raises the question about why Abbott didn’t challenge the existing ones sooner.

And as an Texan, I assume the answer is that Abbott is up for reelection in November.

At this rate, airports are going to be about as hygienic and classy as the local flea market. These days, I feel overdressed wearing jeans and a polo on a domestic flight.

Got it. So it is bullshite. Couple reasons....

Government shouldn't favor religion at all not specifically one over another.

The foot washers are not reserved for muslims only. Anyone can use them.

It doesn't favor one religion. Anyone can use it. It's a little tub on the floor with a faucet. They don't check your Muslim card before you use it. That's why Abbott's "argument" is retarded. Hope that helps.

Yknow…. I just don’t know why stuff like this is newsworthy. If you walked into a DFW restroom and saw it you’d probably think - - “well that something you don’t see every day” - - and give it zero further thought.

But Noooooo…. We have to splash it all over media with the implied message that there is something sinister about a freakin foot washing station.

I wish someone would install bidet’s in these places but that ain’t ever gonna happen because there is nothing controversial about the French who desire their asses cleaner than ours.

Yeah yeah yeah. “Anyone can use it” is doing some heavy lifting there.

Nobody believes DFW suddenly discovered an unmet demand among the general flying public to wash their feet at the airport. (well, you and Igenorio might)

These stations are being installed specifically to accommodate the Islamic growing population in and around DFW. (goat frickers) The fact that I’m technically allowed to wash my feet there too doesn’t magically change their purpose. And you know it.

hence me rolling my eyes at your contrarian "bullshite" take.

Yes it does. It specifically a Muslim religious practice. It is the Islamic ritual purification performed before the five daily prayers (and in some cases before handling the Qur’an)
