Looks like some developers bought the old Goodwood Plantation house and they're going to renovate it to make it a clubhouse and build a "high end gated community" on the property around it.

This could be done really well, and it could be a highly desirable, very classy neighborhood. But let's be real, it's probably going to be a bunch of shoddy glorified townhouses with no yard and cheap foliage with an old plantation house in the middle of it.

That is nowhere near the ghetto.

My dad grew up around the corner on Esplanade in the 40s and 50s. Every time we rode past that old house he talked about how all the kids would play in and around it.

It's a great area. The flotsam and jetsam stay north of Florida.

Since the State Police academy and offices are down the street I wouldn't say ghetto.

That sounds like an awful thing to do to that property.

God, people in BR have gotten to be something.

When did they put the red roof on that house, btw? Is that tile? I don't recall it having that in the past.
