Does the crack impede the driver's view?
Lots of changes next year. If the crack is over 8 inches long. No matter where it is on windshield, you will not get inspection sticker. Also tint darkness will be strictly enforced.

Lol at needing an inspection sticker. Louisiana is the worst

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I’ll be heading to the Old Hammond place this weekend

He better hurry up. Mine expired a few days ago too. I question whether my tint in legal too. It's factory tint but the truck came from Texas and I don't think they have the same requirements as LA.
Sounds like I'll be going tomorrow at lunch.

(I’m a girl)
I didn’t know about the enforcement next year. No dark tint on my windows, just the crack. I’ll look into some glass shops in case the old Hammond place denies me. Someone told me it would likely cost me $400 for a new windshield so I was thinking it’d be a lot higher than $150

It should be cheaper than that. You can go on Safelite's website and get an online quote. It's usually less expensive if you don't require the OEM windshield too.

1) go online and get a picture of it
2) get a color printer and print it
3) profit

For those yelling I’m breaking the law, I am absolutely not trying to break any laws. I’m not asking for a second hand sticker or anything “under the table”. I was literally asking for recommendations to shops that do inspections.
The guy that I got my sticker from every year owned a mechanic shop and did inspections, until he passed last year and his shop closed. To the person who was cold and said they bet we were “close”, yes, we were. We had been a family friend for nearly 15 years.
The only thing I was asking for was recommendations to were legitimate inspection places that weren’t as strict as the place I went. I have a crack in my windshield that does NOT impede the driver side and I got denied instantly, yet I’ve been told that place was super strict. Which is why I was simply asking for recommendations for any different places, given that my crack isn’t impeding they driver side. So those screaming that I’m breaking the law or advising me to do illegal things (like printing off a fake one, really?) please stop being so rude.
To those that gave honest recommendations and advice about where I can get my windshield replaced before getting inspected again, I truly appreciate the advice.

OP has bigger problems if he can't afford a windshield

I would imagine any inspection station in Livingston Parish will overlook a crack in a windshield, hell show me a truck in that parish that doesn't have a cracked windshield. I never see any.

I remember how hectic life was when I was a coke head trying to live on my $24K draw my first couple of months out of college in 1983. Just get stopped, and go to jail. When you see how many other people wouldn't be there if they weren't doing stupid drugs, you might think about cleaning up.

Maybe she's a broke college student. The OT already has her with a bad coke habit and a criminal record

Well, then, she needs a sugar daddy to pay for that windshield.
