I'm sure they're going to line the thing with pallets full of Home Depot lights.

In this city Home Depot quality is the top I could ever expect.

Maybe you should put in a bit for the contract.

I'm on it chief. During Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras you can change tune into WWOZ and there will be a coordinated light show. Enjoy

Remember when Mitch and Sedrick Richmond tried to keep the bridge tolls and say the bridge lights wont be there anymore if they didn't, and everyone said they didn't give a frick...

They can't convince me that it costs that much to put color changing LEDs on a bridge when they are cheap AF at Home Depot and you can change color from an app on your phone.

Individually addressable LEDs aren't cheap at all. HD doesn't even sell stuff like that.

They need to talk to whoever set up the lights on the "Dolly Parton" bridge in Memphis. Mighty Lights

Will they stand the toll booths back up to pay for it?

It should just always be red lights like the streets which run red with blood and hurricane vomit

The WWII Museum looks really cool when you're driving by at night with the Canopy of Peace they built a few years ago. We can at least look cool while all the murdering is going on in the streets.

Every time I go to the WWII museum I shake my head and say that I wish the people here would run the city government. It's so nice, professional, and well maintained.

Yeah, my first thought was when they shut off the CCC lights in a fit of petulance because the tolls were taken away.
I am sure that this happened and/or they let them burn out one by one; I'm certain of it.

The bridge is now operated by the state, it's got nothing to do with the City of New Orleans, despite all the seeming obvious flaws, this one can't be laid at the feet of the city, for once.

Great move in a place unable to repair streetlights.

This, last week drove West past the Super Dome, from Algiers to Metairie line, 90% of the streetlights were out.

They would be better off using the scanners TX uses on their toll roads. I think toll booths in New Orleans would end up getting robbed so often they would need to station officers there 24/7.

But wait I thought if we didn't vote to keep the tolls that the lights on the bridge would be turned off and the bridge maintenance would go to shat Gotta love these useless politicians.
