We don’t know - but they sure had the audacity to ask a white couple if they were charged an auto-tip even though they were told by restaurant management it was a normal procedure. Did they leave a tip on top of the 20%?

I wish I could say the same - but black people and the 20-30 crowd (who love to brag on social media about how much they tip - but they actually don’t) - are the worst ones.
Hispanics don’t tip either - but I speak Spanish so I’ll butt into conversations and joke around so I get tips - co workers don’t.
Back in the day older people tipped terribly - but they usually left something

A similar incident happened last week at my husband’s restaurant - so it makes me wonder if people are getting marching orders.

If actually doing this just because they were black it’s obviously wrong (so far i just see customer saying manager and owner admit to racial part), but blacks profile white people as racist multiple times every day making it laughable that any act outraged and play victim about tip profiling and that this making news. Black people know most blacks don’t tip right, and black waiters get mad many times when they get black tables.
Blacks who want to be viewed as a group again instead of being viewed on their individual merits need to pay more attention to fixing your group’s short comings instead of passing blame on everyone else and playing victim for the group. It’s not just the out of proportion crime and violence, but It’s every day crap like tipping.
Better yet write off the trash and quit grouping yourselves with them. Otherwise at least don’t get mad when others see you as the very trash you group yourself with as you are basically profiling yourself.

Citing evidence that black people tip less is exactly like citing crime statistics when talking about people killed by police.
