Did you watch what he did??????? He had zero reason to sit on his neck for almost 9 mins.... again IF George was just minding his own biz this would not have happened...I can’t wait for somebody to prove me wrong.......
No one will "Prove" anything to you. You have already decided.
I saw what he did. I have questions about that.
Again, I'll wait for the evidence produced at trail before forming my opinion..

3rd degree is likely going to get tossed, a case is pending in front of the Supreme Court. In Minnesota, 3rd degree requires that others being in danger aside from the deceased
ahh I didn't realize that, thanks

If there’s anything in the manual or protocol that says he could restrain a suspect under those circumstances until additional help arrives, he’ll walk.
He followed his training and protocol for dealing with and individual behaving like Floyd to a T. He is definitely gonna walk.

Then that’s gonna cause a lot of shite.....
Protesters think the officer killed him without justification..... but IF it’s brought up that the drugs in his system killed him it’s gonna be ON...., no matter the outcome..... if somehow Chavin does not serve serious jail time, it will get real ugly real quick.
True, and all the people spouting off about his guilt will be complicit in the outcome of the aftermath. In any just world they would be held accountable for that.

walk as in no charges at all? for anything?
I feel pretty comfortable in saying that's not gonna happen

If that happens the city will release the jurors names and addresses for public hanging.

The official autopsy showed no asphyxiation, no trauma (other than that associated with CPR), no obstruction of airway...
Chauvin is walking - hopefully all the way to the bank. I hope he gets a colossal settlement from the city/county/state for the shite he has been put through. It would be a great reminder for the taxpayers of MN to be careful who they elect and let run their show.

We will see my friend what do you think he is guilt of?
Posted on 3/8/21 at 2:47 pm to RLDSC FAN
One thing is for sure. Whatever he is convicted of will not be enough for some and too much for others. I just hope the legal system works like its supposed to and that the aftermath will be minimal.

Whatever he is convicted of

Juror selection will start tomorrow per Judge. He doesn't want any delays. Defense and prosecution reviewed 50 so far, and struck 16 of them.

I don't. Should've stated better.

For those curious how this will go:
Interesting about this case, they only want 2 alternates.
quote:
Each day, eight potential jurors will go to the courthouse - four in the morning & four in the afternoon & Judge Peter Cahill, prosecutors & the defense will question each person, one at a time. Once 14 potential jurors have been questioned & passed through without a challenge, then they are seated as the jury for the murder trial - 12 jurors & 2 alternates. During jury selection, each day's session will begin at 8am, with first hour reserved for motions. Jury selection begins at 9am & is expected to end by 5pm. On 3/29 trial begins with Opening statements. During the trial itself, sessions could continue until 7:30pm if the jury is sequestered.

He may well have been fricked up out of his mind, but he didn’t OD on Fentanyl.
He had cannabis, meth and fentanyl in his system with an already bad heart.
And it seems there was no damage to his neck area either that would be consistent with enough pressure to actually choke him.
I'd wager he'd still be alive if he didn't take fentanyl. Or commit crimes in general. He already got a good deal doing 5 years for armed robbery of a pregnant woman.

I forgot about this, he did have a cracked rib from CPR.

Court grants motion on precluding any expert from “likening the death of #GeorgeFloyd to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.”
Judge Cahill first said “I have to ask, how did this even become a motion?”
Apparently a state witness has said it before, in the context of asphyxiation.

Interesting how Court TV got permission for this to be televised. They will definitely be the place to watch this, just like the OJ trial.

The network had spent months working with the court to allow cameras, an effort Chauvin’s lawyers joined by filing a motion last year seeking that permission. They asked Hennepin County District Court Judge Peter A. Cahill to issue an exception to a Minnesota rule barring video and audio transmission from courtrooms unless all parties agree, arguing that coronavirus-related capacity restrictions would violate Chauvin’s right to a public trial. The prosecution objected.
In a landmark ruling in November, Cahill agreed to allow the cameras, saying the intense public interest and coronavirus limitations combined to form a scenario that “not only is abnormal — it is in fact quite unique.”
quote:
Court TV will be allowed to place cameras at three vantage points in the Hennepin County courtroom. The network will offer by far the best way to follow the trial. Court TV’s cameras will be the only ones allowed in the courtroom; any other networks wishing to show footage must pick up its feed. Only two other media outlets will be allowed in the courtroom at any given time; all other journalists can watch Court TV’s feed from a media center across the street. Floyd’s family is restricted to just one seat in the courtroom. The network is planning about 14 hours of trial coverage each day.
