If I was the defense, I would play the 20 times Floyd says he can't breath while no one is touch him
then list his wrap sheet of his life...because it paints the full story of who Floyd was on that day...
which includes two overdoses in March...that required hospitalization to keep him alive
I would list the fact Floyd had a lot of counterfeit money
I would list the fact that Floyd would NOT be trusted by anyone in the court room to babysit their teenagers or home for a weekend...no-one would be a friend of Floyd's
He resisted arrest because that who Floyd was...he rebelled against the law
He had heart disease because he treated his body horribly...
then I would look at the juror, did you hear what Maxine said this weekend? Nod if you understand what I am saying?
If you are fearful of doing the right thing because of Maxine threatening you...
then nod your head...
nod your head if you're afraid to nod your head

However, I’m not sure that even qualifies as manslaughter.

So what happens today? Closing arguments?
Yep, and judge didn't put a time limit. Expected 1-2 hours each.

Has anyone realized that the name "Mama" is actually the nickname of his girlfriend, NOT his mother.
That should be brought up in closing arguments.

Yeah that floored me... Not sure if it matters though.

Yes that was brought up on day 1 or 2 in testimony.

Being on a jury is one of the most overrated things ever because of stuff like this. It is so incredibly boring. Last time I was on a jury, we had to watch the entire police cam footage of the incident. It was well over an hour long. The actual action part was 10 minutes.

It matters because he was calling out to his drug addict gf and apologizing to her for ODing. Remember, she wanted him to quit and did not want him hanging out with Morries Hall

He should’ve rendered aid as soon as he found out he didn’t have a pulse. That to me was the problem point.

That to me is what I would be focusing on if I was a juror. Was he required to render aid? If so, what is the consequence for not rendering aid?

Why is Dr. Drew reading Court rules....

This is part of the trial. He has to tell the jury exactly what he's been charged with. And exactly what that means in that state. Not everyone knows exactly what 3rd, 2nd, 1st degree murder/manslaughter exactly are.

Jury instructions are confusing.... to me anyway

I cant see how 12 people are going to agree on the same charge....those are a lot of charges and choices for the jury to pick from.

But the interesting thing is that the defense did not bring up the mischaracterization of GF calling out to his girlfriend. The prosecution should have been rebutted.

The judge is still rambling....I could not recall much he is saying.
To me, this favors the defense, because I can't recall his instructions beyond a reasonable doubt!
