hell yeah, whatever opinions they've formed by the testimony presented up till now will be re-shaped by the talking heads over the weekend

So when should we expect a verdict? All that’s left is closing arguments, right?

I guess it all depends on how long it takes the jury to make up their minds.

So based off of your experience what do you think the outcome is going to be?
Dont profess to know it all but one thing i can say without fear of contradiction....... NO ONE has a fricking clue what is going to go on in that Jury room. After 14 days, millions of dollars, fancy experts, they could latch on to some obscure issue that no lawyer has even addressed, or thought about.
Focus groups, and post jury interviews have proved this in the past, more than once. I always send a letter to jurors after trial, and ask them to call me or email just to get feedback. Bad feedback is actually the best. But over the years, it has taught me that they could and often go in a direction that you could never have predicted
(Federal Court judges will not allow this contact, in LA)

I think it'll take them a while. I doubt it'll be a quick decision

Why not sequester the jury based on the undisclosed test alone?
If just one juror hears about the test it’s a mistrial right?

if they get a taste of how restless the natives are over the weekend it will hasten their decision, imo

Mistrial inbound
For those of us who only occasionally checks in on this thread, can someone give us a quick synopsis of why y’all think there will be a mistrial?
Also what is Chauvin pleading the fifth to?

There isn't going to be a mistrial but it came close.
Chauvin does not have to testify. Claiming the 5th is just using the constitutional words to say he wasn't testifying.

check the last page or 2 to see what the prosecutor pulled this morning... that's why there was talk of a mistrial

basically just invoking his right to not testify... which I guess happens in like 97% of trials across the country... just a rough guesstimate on my part

and the judge can easily influence them by suggesting how they should or should not interpret testimony, they seem to sort of bond with the judge and think they're on the same "team," or at least that's what it looks like to me as a lay observer

Why is the prosecution given the opportunity to call people in the middle of the defense's case?

They weren't. Defense rested and prosecution get to call rebuttal witnesses to the Defense's case in chief.

Whatever happened with the drug dealer friend who was/did plead the 5th? He wasn't compelled to testify?

Same question applies. The prosecution rested so tough shite.

The problem that is see happening is that the jury deliberation room is going to be dominated by a few vocal woke people and anyone that doesn’t agree is going to be labeled a racist.
Do some of the jurors that disagree with a conviction go along with it because of pressure from the whole people in the room?
