Since you are in the biz; does it happen very often that the prosecution torpedoes their own case so they get a mistrial rather than lose the case?
Are there any repercussions for doing that?

State back on at 1015..... and that prosecutor should be absolutely be walking on eggshells at the podium as judge made it clear that State is flirting with a mistrial .
Could the judge just come to an abrupt all stop and call a mistrial today

Is the ada the black guy who's never tried a criminal case before this?
I wouldn't want to be in his shoes.
Baw better be careful.

curious as to what the advantages are, hoping the prosecution will just say frickit and drop charges?

1. Would be tough to prove it was intentional
2. Ellison's hack investigators are on the same team as the prosecution = "no findings"

Odd question with the times, like someone mentioned earlier, Chauvin looks completely different without the mask. Could he demand to not wear one as to let the jury see him as more relatable and personable?
The defendants demeanor always plays into how a jury feels, facial expressions are a huge part of that.

Testimony wrapping up today. Off tomorrow and closing arguments on Monday?
What a sham.
Wrap it up tomorrow.

IMO the defense is trying to wrap this up quickly so the jury is sequestered before the weekend.
They know there is zero chance they don’t hear about the carbon monoxide test over the weekend. The media is going to be blasting it everywhere. Even the fricking weather man will be talking about the missing carbon monoxide test

no way to tell if that's intentional, but if they're allowed access to media, mainstream and social, it would be impossible for that to not factor in to their decision making

This is a clown show. I'm confused why they are allowed to call this witness again?
Total bullshite. They just want the quack woke doctor who thinks he can calculate end expiratory lung volumes from a cellphone video to talk more about the hypopharynx as it relates to a covid study.
I seem to remember them saying putting people prone for covid has nothing to do with this. So why does this a-hole now get to use a covid study to talk about hypopharynx compression?
Nelson should have fought this harder but he really doesn’t understand the medical terminology.
Why can’t they have a medical expert with them for these deliberations?

I thought he wasnt supposed to ask him about CO2?
