Lol I’m not sticking up for prosecution but a cop pulling a rogue move like a knee to the back of the neck of a man who was handcuffed is a bit sketchy...

Is the prosecutor eventually going somewhere with this questioning?
He's just pushing that it wasn't a drug overdose (because the resident wasn't told that prior to giving treatment) and that the cops didn't provide CPR so Chauvin is responsible for his death. The drug overdose thing is meaningless because technically the cops didn't know for sure he was on drugs at the time but the CPR thing about it not being administered may stick with the jury.

He's a doctor, fresh out of residency. He probably is seeing ghosts in that room and is being questioned about a patient.. a dead patient.

“Asphyxiation Seems like the most likely of the options” is not a slam-dunk for the prosecution. I feel like I’m being gaslit.

that's fine...but it was the drugs that caused it...not DC
quote:
According to the research from the National Programme on Substance Abuse Deaths in London, 23% of all overdose deaths are caused by asphyxiation, second only to direct acute overdose (drug poisoning). Others cease breathing as a result of a seizure during drug or alcohol withdrawal.

Cross will be interesting for this doc. All the talk of asphyxiation is to lead the jury to think they cut off his airway...defense will hammer home that he could have had "lack of oxygen" because he took a crap ton of drugs that depress your respiratory system, leading to "lack of oxygen"

Then it would come down to whether his knee was on the back or neck.
This shite again.
