Once Chauvin is found innocent they will have to go after the drug dealer for murder
Do you think he can pull of a not-guilty verdict? I can see a hung jury and/or mistrial but certain people on the jury will NOT vote for a not-guilty verdict IMO..

I mean he's got a point. Why are we assuming the murderer is innocent? He has to prove he's innocent. That's how our justice system works.

I like how they're ignoring the facts of the case and blaming the prosecution. Don't get me wrong, they do suck, but this is an unwinnable case based on the facts alone

shite would you?
there names are getting released at some point and they dont want their house burned down. i would have done everything in my power to show insanity and not get chosen for the jury

Nah, just echoing what many people in this country truly believe. Twitter commentary on this trial is full of them.

What's the jury composition??

Do we have any idea who is being called next? The prosecution has done an amazing job today of calling witnesses that not only destroy their narrative, but also manage to set up the defense to make the exact argument they're planning to make.

Of the 14 jurors seated through Monday, eight are white, four are Black and two are multiracial, according to the court. Nine are women and five are men, and they range in age from their 20s to their 60s.

Are you a medical professional? You sound like someone that might play one on TV. What you are describing is brain ischemia. Asphyxia is literally choking to death, stopping airflow!
Yes.
No.
The definition of asphyxia in forensic pathology is the lack of oxygen supply to tissues/organs. This can be caused numerous different mechanisms. The mechanism in compression of the neck, such as in strangulation or hangings, is by blockage of blood vessels hindering the transport of oxygen to the brain.
Are you a medical professional?

Since you seem to be the expert on autopsies can you explain how you determine asphyxiation vs fentanyl overdose on an autopsy that shows no signs of any trauma?
first of all there were plenty of signs indicating trauma. Bruising and abrasions all over his face, back and chest. The phrase used that confuses laymen: 'there were no life threatening injuries'. which would be things like a broken neck, ICH, penetrating wound, etc.
asphyxiation is not an 'injury' its a process. they made the determination of asphyxiation instead of OD while considering history, exam, and labwork. positioning and force compressing the chest wall is well known to be a risk for asphyxiation which is why it is falling out of favor across the nation.

What are the findings that determine asphyxiation as the cause of death? I’m sure you will cop out and say you aren’t the expert, you are just listening to the experts. But deep down you know it doesn’t make sense.
no cop out hoss, just facts. there's a few potential findings like petechiae, lividity, visceral congestions etc. the findings you are asking about are frequently absent in asphyxiations. They are considered nonspecific and are not required to make the determination as they are frequently absent.

The one time that I got called for jury duty and got chosen, I was not a happy camper. Think it was drugs/attempted murder.

Nope, but going with the trend, it will probably be a medical witness or medical expert witness. I pray that they are done with bystander witnesses and spark-of-life witnesses.

I never had jury duty but have testified several times in civil cases (job).. none of it is fun lol
