Please explain.

Oh shite this is Chauvin's body cam footage playing now. Public hasn't seen this before.
ETA
his camera fell off only a couple minutes in and stayed under the vehicle.

Literally was the driver of a Mercedes when police pulled up

Really? I guess I just assumed they would.

I'd argue your complete denial of the possibility that Chauvin showed poor judgement/unnecessary action is the same.
But we're not going to agree so let's not poison the thread, there is lots of good information in here.

Jury recessed until 9:15am-9:30am tomorrow
Looks like the court is taking up other case-related matters now

Nope, the courts have ruled police have no duty to aid or protect anyone.

25:55 after first officers checks pulse (not Chauvin) he says "I can't find one" that is not going to play well.
One minute later Chauvin checks pulse and offices says ..here they are medical is there.
28:44 little less than three minutes later Chauvin removes kneed and they lift him up
Optics of keeping the knee on him for those three minutes after he stopped moving and guy said he had no pulse won't sit well with jury despite all the drug claims. At that point, they should have moved to life saving measures.
One minute after first pulse check ambulance arrives.
Now...did he pass out because of knee, drug related, or both. Obviously drugs played a heavy roll no matter what. He was going full blast and having conversations with dude on the side walk for 3 minutes while he was down. Still moving (breathing) less than minute before pulse was checked.

Don't see how anyone could sit through those videos and think that was anything other than an overdose.

He literally followed protocol.

That's not true anymore. There are plenty of civil cases where the Plaintiffs have prevailed in "Duty to Provide Aid" against police. The argument goes: "If you carry a gun and can foreseeably use it on someone, you should be trained and equipped to provide them aid afterwards." Juries have bitten on that shiny hook several times. I have case citations FWIW.

This wasn't a gun situation.

EMS was onsite (not to Floyd yet) all but less than a minute he was apparently out.

Another truly honest question: how far does protocol go? Meaning does it say do that until subdued? Until help arrives? I truly have no clue.

I know. The cases I have are for shootings but there are others. Point being that the plaintiffs lawyers have had success with going from Use of Force to a Duty to Provide Aid. It's not hard to see how a jury could get there.
