I think he was attempting to speak from their perspective. IOW, to them, she wasn't a person made in the image of God with a heart and soul. But just a thing to be used and discarded.

. The journalist spoke to the mom and grandmother. I bet it’s the mother saying she was pushed out and she was laying in the rain after being hit by the car. Neither are facts but I don’t think the writer was looking for them. It’s more of a story that has new quotes with no new information. They can call it an exclusive and get people fired up again. Nothing to see.
Just as bad as the misinfo in the article. Why do you think the mother would say that?

I don’t recall reading that she was pushed. Up until now I thought it’s been that she voluntarily got out of the car.
Same. I wonder if indicative that they have footage from nearby camera? Perhaps it can be seen in video from boys' phones. Just from following other cases in the news, I know that prosecution usually holds on pretty tight to evidence and that the Defense always gets the first crack at the media tour. I'm sure there are tons of details to this story we don't know yet.

Not at all. That’s what they thought of her.

A grieving mother is going to think her daughter was forced out of the car into the freezing rain before she believes she got out freely and simply walked into traffic on her own. It paints a dramatic picture. No different than everyone who got the original story wrong her her being kidnapped at a bar from guys looking to target drunk girls. People believe what the want to believe. Every detail that sounds the worst, true or not, is what many pictures before video was released.

Aren’t you related to the Caden kid?

I wonder what exactly do they know? It's a reason why the driver was charged with 1st and 3rd degree rape.

Yeah, he should be treated as a principal because he assisted the others

False. Charged with Principal (to 1st Degree Rape)
ETA: Not sure if the distinction means anything as far as his ultimate punishment but thats what he was charged with.

I understand one of the guys could have booked the Uber for her, but let's not kid ourselves. Does anybody believe they were decent enough to do such a thing?
Can’t this be easily verified in like 5 minutes?

his initial charges were as principal...the grand jury actually charged him with 1st and 3rd degree rape...

False.
You seem quite sure of that.
ETA: Ah I see. Interesting, looks like they charged him directly with 3rd degree but as principal to 1st degree?

I don’t know why it would be. It’s odd though because WAFB ran an interview with Hillar outlining how someone could be charged with both first and third degree rape, and the article even went to the extent of pointing out that he was initially charged with principal to third degree rape, a lesser charge.
You’d think if they were interviewing Hillar, at some point someone would correct them. But idk.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Casen Carver, 18, of Denham Springs, was indicted on Wednesday, May 3, in connection with the rape of LSU student Madison Brooks, according to court documents.
The indictment states Carver, who investigators said was in the driver’s seat of the car as other men had sex with the student in the backseat, has been officially charged with first-degree rape and third-degree rape.

Finally some news. Indicted Washington for three rapes, including Madison Brooks. Only the uncle not yet indicted.

Noticed that he was charged with video voyeurism as well. I wonder if it's because the actual rape may have been caught on video by Kaivon?
