That’s encouraging.

If he gets convicted of first degree rape as an adult in the Walker case, it’s life without parole anyway.
Nothing would make me happier than to see him sent away for life. With more victims coming forward, his "supporters" will shift their stance to the other two.

Another WAFB story is out with the defense attorney commenting on the video from outside the bar:
quote:
“If you have a .319 your motor skills shut your body down,” said attorney Long. “You can’t walk. You can’t talk. You’re lapsing in and out of black out and you risk death. The evidence that we’ve seen so far on the video of Ms. Brooks running across the street in front of Reggie’s, that undermines the police version of events and until our experts can look at what happened, we believe that the BAC that they’re saying is inaccurate.”

She donated organs so she was likely intubated in the ambulance or at the scene. First thing they do is draw labs for blood testing to find donor matches. This is correct. I’ll add, in one of the reports it was stated that her family withdrew life support. That leads me to believe that she likely had a pulse but no brain activity. So in response to the person that said something about the rise of BAC in a corpse. That isn’t the case here. Labs were drawn prior to death.

I don’t know the races of the victims in LP. The students at DS have been knowing that Washington was a total POS bc of the rap song he made about Remy but didn’t know about him raping this little girl until she spoke up on FB.
Your precious Cason Carver must have been out of the loop and couldn’t possibly know what a piece of shite he was hanging with, right? Tell us more about what a great kid he is.

DA Moore wants all four perps to get similar sentences. All four, say, get ten years no possibility of parole.
That would be very surprising to me. Passenger getting same time as anal rapist??

I have 11 years experience with the Intoxilizer 5000 and many 98 arrests.
That girl just running across the parking lot and hopping over that raised section to catch up, is going to be a problem for prosecution

And one of the defendants being convicted of the rape of a 12 year old a before this trial even starts, if it gets to trial, is going to be a problem for the defense.

Hey i get it, but actual trial removes all of the bias and to win, you have to work within those facts.

That’s is complete BS. I would be in a blackout at ,319, but I would still be able to walk 2 miles to a liquor store. That’s a fact, Jack.
Unfortunately,I know my own .BACs like most people know ABC’s.

Well, that's a horseshite statement. I've had a few "professional drinker" friends back in the day who walked around in a fugue state pretty regularly, after binge drinking.
It would be like a light switch would go off in their heads. One minute they were fine, the next they'd be running down the street, completely out of it, and they'd never remember shite the next day.
I had to chase more than one down to keep them from getting beat up, robbed, or arrested. Pretty common for heavy drinkers and or alcoholics.
And whatever you do, don't try reasoning with them once they get something in their mind.

It won’t come out at trial unless he takes the stand.

Except I’m 99.999999% certain her BAC wasn’t from a breathalyzer. in your experience, isn’t a blood test more accurate?

All four don’t have the same level of culpability and they shouldn’t get similar sentences. Washington’s role in this is definitely worse than the others. Carter cooperated early on and MAY have been the only one to stop Washington from going further. Their sentences should be different.

He’s also the driver and the one that put her out on the side of the road in the rain. Her life lands at his feet as far as I’m concerned.

I assume you're talking about it being entered as evidence. You clearly know more than me on that, so I won't question you there.
But I'd have to imagine any potential jurors would be aware if he's convicted of that rape prior to the start of this trial. Can't imagine that wouldn't make the news.
