Side note that I was just thinking about, if Carver didn't turn himself in, do we even get to the point of wondering if any of this happened?
police knew who he was because they had identified the vehicle he was driving...i'm pretty sure his choices were to make arrangements to turn himself in or be picked up and arrested...

How do we even know who the people are in that video? Looks like a bunch of randoms filmed at night from a distance .
Reggie’s has cameras from the inside too. They can obviously follow from the inside to out and know who is wearing what.

Video shows dudes walking away…. She chased after them, but they are vultures?
Did you read the arrest warrant? Their own statements are telling.
The driver said he thought she was too drunk to consent and he felt it was wrong.
They said she was stumbling and trying to open doors to other cars. She didn’t know her address and could barely speak.
This wasn’t their girlfriend. They had never met her before. If you don’t think that’s wrong you have a problem. They knew they were taking advantage of her.

And You knew someone else’s iniebriatuon? Gtfo here
You get the frick out of here - plenty of men take advantage of women when they’re drunk (and vice versa) that’s why laws were put into place - if you’ve been out drinking all night you can sort of guess someone is drunk
And if they’re pretty drunk - that means too drunk for consent - be an adult

You cannot frick a girl that is too incoherent to give you her address. Period. Rape. Guilty.
Or at least should be.
But again, Baton Rouge jury. "She ran.."

Let’s also clarify the difference between someone you know and a stranger.
If your girlfriend (who has consented to sex with you many times before) is wasted and y’all have sex it’s a little different than someone you have never met before who is totally incoherent. That’s a different level of taking advantage of someone especially when they just drop you off in a random parking lot after. Their actions were very telling as to their motivation. They didn’t want to date her or meet up again. They used her and disposed of her.
I know the law probably doesn’t make that distinction but morally I believe there is a difference.

Yeah I think they would've been led to those guys. I guess I was more so questioning if he wouldn't have turned himself in, they probably could've come up with a story and gotten away with it, unless they started running rape kits I suppose. He probably would have admitted either way.

I made the point earlier that the white boy in a car was 18 years old and may not have understood that he could still be held liable, even though he didn’t participate in the actual rape. I said that 18 year old brains haven’t fully formed, and they are still learning.
Ignorance of the law is not a defense. This is basic stuff
Not even the law but basic right from wrong, like don't murder/assault/abuse people...or be aparty to it! 18 year olds should know that. I'm not arguing if 18 should be considered an adult or able to vote or drink or join the military...you are excusing violent crimes "bc their brains arent fully developed yet"...sheesh.

From Reggie’s statement quote:Even though she entered the bar with false identification, she wasn’t served nor did she consume any drinks at least during the last hour she was at Reggie’s.
Didn’t she work there? Are they going to pretend they didn’t know her ID was fake? It doesn’t change the fact that a 17 was in there too.

And the statement says:
So how long was she in there for? Did she consume drinks during the other hours she was there?

But she’s coherent enough to run after them mins before the sex act?
Y’all can’t have it both ways.
To hear many of you guys tell it about her condition, ..one of the dudes was packing her over his shoulder leaving.
No way she could have been walking much less running towards them.
I have no bias in this case, just trying to consider all angles and be objective.
