For the legal folks, is the dumbass lawyer able to publicly release his video taken inside the car?
Possibly thinking he could "prove the judge wrong". I have a feeling that this case is more and more going to be played out in the court of public opinion, especially with the national/global spotlight.

The BAC is definitely a head scratcher
quote:
If a person drinks faster than one drink per hour, the alcohol simply stays in the body, waiting its turn to be metabolized. The result is increasing levels of intoxication. A person's BAC can continue to rise even while he or she is passed out. Even after a person stops drinking, alcohol in the stomach and intestine continues to enter the bloodstream and circulate throughout the body.
BAC will continue to rise even when you stop drinking

He could run to the news media if he so chooses.
I think it's something he'll keep in his back pocket for now though...but, yeah if he wants it out..all his has to do..
I am not a legal expert or attorney, I only play one on TD.com the OT. -LaBR4 was not paid for this advertisement.

I’m not reading back through the whole thread but has anyone asked what the hell a 28 year old was doing with these clowns?

Yes. If it’s his client’s video, he can.

Someone said he was a “street pharmacist.“

Washington’s “street pharmacist” uncle

I theorized that he was likely of low intellectual capacity, but some others implied that he was a drug dealer.
Probably both.
Probably both.

Looking at that chart and how tiny Madison was she was in the 'death possible' level drunk.
The defense lawyer said her level of drunk was on the way up. So she consented when raped even if it was over .3 later.
Problem with that is the inside the bar video shows she didn't drink there for one hour before she left.

.30 - .34 If you are still conscious, you are in a stupor. You likely have no comprehension of where you are or what you are doing. There have been numerous cases of alcohol poisoning and death in this range of BAC. You are in need of medical help.

I drank a fifth of Absolut and three beers over three hours.
One and a half hours later I blew a .270.

Just a thought (devil's advocate) - she was spending time with them in the bar. After they left, what if she realized her phone or purse were missing (not saying they were) and she was flagging them down to retrieve a possibly missing item. Thus having the adrenaline to run after them, and then we see her collapse. The girl watching them pick her up seems to be gesturing and seems like, as others have said, to be a witness.

It has been talked about in this thread that there is a segment of society that will be harder to get them to convict……this video doesn’t help IMO
I know and I totally see that point.
However I look at that video and think maybe she was better off than we thought when leaving with them and it’s possible they gave her more in the car to lower her inhibitions (or maybe she willingly drank it). I’m trying to account for what I’m seeing versus what I’ve read about happening after, within a short time period. If they did give her more in the car that should strengthen the case against them so I don’t necessarily agree the video helps the defense.
I was never a heavy drinker and I don’t know the science behind BAC levels rising/falling so maybe there’s a clear explanation that I just don’t understand.

That video may get Ron Haley taken off the case. Now a competent defense lawyer has something to work with.

In short, if you’re binge drinking, it goes up before it goes down

it doesn’t change the fact that I think she was unable to consent and was raped.
One thing it does do is gives the defense a chance of putting reasonable doubt in the minds of the jurors, especially with the Baton Rouge jury pool. Expect the defense to talk about them walking away and her chasing after them non-stop when it gets to trial.

If the timeline in the affidavits are correct, I dont see this as likely. The rapes probably started between 10 to 15 min after they left reggies. Left at 1:50..hit and killed around 2:50

I used to down my drinks when leaving bar, possible she did the, and it didn't fully affect her until after this video

I'm curious if any of her friends own that CRV she tried to get into. Didn't look like she was running up to them imo, but it's tough to tell

Since your body (and every body) metabolizes alcohol at 0.016% per hour, it will take 10 hours for a person with a BAC or 0.016 to reach a BAC of 0.00. In fact, you can determine BAC for each hour that you spend metabolizing alcohol.
0.319% at the time of her death
So at time of rape (assuming the perps gave her no additional alcohol) her BAC was 0.335.
Oh and:

None of the suspects are LSU students, according to a spokesperson for the college, which bills itself as an elite university with a reputation for excellence, where the cost of attendance can top $50,000 a year.

Does the DA need him? DNA will prove who had sexual contact with her.
Two of them have admitted she was very drunk.
I doubt you need an eyeball witness beyond what they have.
