Nah. Better chance they get out on summary judgment
How will they get out on a MSJ? They let a 17 year old (a minor) get drunk and help take advantage of a patron who the bar allowed & facilitated to get black out drunk. Reggie's might as well close up their doors tonight.

Right. La. R.S. 9:2800.1 limitation of liability only applies if over the age of majority
Not looking up caselaw tonight but I think there is a strong argument here

Par for the course. It’s never their clients fault. Reggies made him rape her. Got it.

If this would have been John Gotti's daughter, he'd have these four young fellers dissolved in sulfuric acid.

That insurance policy isn’t being paid for illegal activity
The insurance policy still has a cost of defense and it would be wise to just tender over to the family the maximum amount now instead of fighting this out in court and risking a bad faith claim and the bad PR that comes with defending themselves as the insurer in this case. Cut your losses and let the family sue the Bar and its owners personally.

I agree they will settle. Who knows what the policy says but we can all guess. Prayers to the family.

Perhaps he drugged her. Who knows. Serving a minor is gonna be what gets them though.

Eugene, your 28 year old client bought the drinks and gave them to your other clients
Next excuse for the rapists, Eugene?

Gosh, this is the absolute worst case scenario for that family.

Will the NAACP help the white boy out too or is he on his own?

Summary judgment motions on policy exclusions a year after the incident rarely make the paper or the nightly news.

Typical LSU blaming victim and bars for what happened. Way to go Tate and LSU. Take up for the criminals.
