Just curious, when you book a hotel room and don’t show up, are you pissed when they charge you for a night?

Not only is it inconsiderate to the dentist to not give any notice, it also takes away the dentist's opportunity to work in an urgent or emergency patient.

It's 2018. Set a reminder in your smartphone like the rest of us, jackass.

Most get bonuses weekly or monthly for meeting quota and extras make it more lucrative for them. Good buddy is a dentist that runs his place like this.

My 1st cousin the dentist, actually been ADA President, fires his hygienists who "push" products. My grandmother, not related to him at all, made 1 single complaint against a hygienist through me, gal was gone the next day.

What if a professional has 4 no shows in a day, every day?

What if a professional double books expecting no shows and everybody shows up?

If they were worth a frick, they'd be orthodonists.

It probably is. What's the reimbursement rate for a regular cleaning?

They cost me time when they’re behind schedule, that’s my whole issue with it.

You occupied 1 hour of their time by not showing up. You should have to pay. They scheduled YOU, and didn't schedule someone else.

So when I make a 2:00 appointment and don’t get in until 3:00, they have occupied an extra hour of my time that I could have been at work making money. Wouldn’t it be fair to adjust my bill accordingly?

Tell them they can bill your balls.

Seriously, some places bill for missed appointments. They will say "any appointment canceled with 24 will be charged to your bill".

We all get it, but it's nothing to get indignant over.
