Deputies are investigating an armed robbery that happened at a Denham Springs store Monday afternoon.  The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office said the Dollar General along Arnold Road was robbed at gunpoint around 2 p.m.  Deputies said no one was injured.

Simple question, if you are willing to commit armed robbery, why chose a Dollar Store as your target?!

I can only imagine these places aren’t taking a lot of Amex payments. Probably a Fort Knox of 5’s and 10’s

Dollar General robbed

I'd bet good money that someone in the ratchet crew who robbed the Dollar General looks like this.

Robber probably knows no one at a DG is going to resist or even attempt to stop an armed robbery. I’ve always wondered how those places aren’t bigger targets.

But risk an armed robbery felony charge for $100-$300?

Criminals are stupid. Especially the ones who rob DGs.

How much you figure is in a DG register?

$23.50.

If someone just paid for something that cost exactly $20.00.

The people robbing businesses in and around BR don’t care. A felony is nothing to them, they simply don’t care. Jail is not a big deal to them, plus they don’t fear the cops, it’s lawless in BR and the surrounding jurisdictions.

The meth head that did it probably lives in the trailer next door. And their car is probably in pieces in the front yard so only store in walking distance was the DG. They will just go spend it all back over the next few days.
Have you been to a Denham DG. 99% of what shops there are meth heads

Theft from DG I can believe. I'm surprised the bad guy found an employee in the store to demand money from.
