Demographics I've noticed with Rape accusations

As you all have said time and again , demographics matter.
In finding a home, school, job and other facets of life.
But I noticed a disturbing trend. All of these Hollywood and Political types aren't usual suspects.
Those crying rape/harass and pushing this are predominantly White , upper middle to upper class women.
Now, I'm no detective like Kafka. But if I had to guess, I'd say this #metoo movement is less about women as a whole getting raped and more just a defense mechanism for upper class women.
I hate Sexual Harassment in all forms. But lets be honest, if this was a Black woman in Nola or Detroit. Or a Latina in Texas or Arizona. Neither of any affluence. Nobody would give two wags what happened to them.
That's not an attack on this board. That's just a reality I have personally seen.

It mostly has to do with the media coverage.
If a black child goes missing, the media will give it a little coverage, mostly local. If it's a white kid, national coverage.
They do the opposite with hate crimes. Black on white crime, they bury it. White on black crime, non stop national coverage and riots.
Basically, they decide what's news.

You're right in one sense - class. But race has little to do with it.
Nobody gives a shite about the middle class white woman in Covington who sues her employer for sexual harassment.

Or how about Marion Brown, one of John Conyers' accusers? She doesn't look very white to me

This may be one of the most sensible posts you’ve ever made baw. People care because these women are attractive and popular. Most of these women have never had to go through anyone threatening or hurting them. But there are billions of women in poverty, of all races, that go through this every day, and they can’t cry “me too” or they’ll be killed, beaten, or abandoned. Women in places like Iraq, where women can’t work. A woman raped there is unlikely to be believed, and they’ll be thrown out and left to starve by their husband or or father and by society
Let me be clear though. It’s not about race. It’s about poverty. Poor white women in America go through the same things that poor black and Latino women go through here. Women in Poverty is the demographic of concern, not a specific race. Suggesting this is a racial issue is race baiting at its finest, and an easy argument for the weak minded to use to push an agenda

It's almost like money and ratings drive the news cycle and they pick and choose stories based on what drives outrage in their viewership.

That's right. I added that affluence part at the end because if this happened to Be once or Halle Berry, it would be a major RIOT (pun intended, sadly)
