Yes when you reopen things people finally interact with each other and will get sick.

They were isolated for a year and a half and finally they are in arms reach of each other with no masks and some people will get sick.

We knew this all along this was part of the model.

You isolate people and mask to stop the spike, build herd immunity, vaccinations, but regardless….whenever you open it up again, cases will rise in the short term.

It’s Like I’m sure DUIs will increase because bars are now open. “Surging DUI!!!”

Also, the Northshore Region, who was the first region to exhibit a sharp increase in Hospitalization, reported it's lowest one day increase (3) in over two weeks. Hopefully the plateau is near.

Very few Louisianans have been isolated in the last 13 months.

I would expect to see hospitalizations to be about 3-5 days behind the Rt value

So all of June & most of July combo are lower than May….but I should be more afraid now than 2 months ago? Why are you?

Perfect time for Edwards to reinstate the mask mandate so he can take credit for the decline.

That’s a big statement for so little data…

It says what I want it to say so I’ll run with it.
