A new article on DailyMail.com claims to have insight into what led to Shannon Lamb's 'mental problems;' and it's a shocking accusation.

The news website ("separated editorially from the British newspaper") is reporting that "the rage that led gunman Shannon Lamb to kill his girlfriend and a fellow university professor is thought to have been sparked by a spider bite."

As far as we know, they are the only news organization making the claims.

They go on to report: "Dr. Lamb had become increasingly upset after a spider bite became infected and caused his face to swell, triggering a spate of mental health problems.

He became conscious of his bloated cheek, withdrew from work earlier this summer and failed to attend scheduled classes at Delta State University.
