Maybe don't put your screen in a place it can get cracked?
If he didnt have the screen under the lip of where the tray table fastens to the chair, it wouldn't have broken.
Is it really a mystery that chairs recline?

Not trying to brag but I’ve flown on planes hundreds of times with a Mac open and never encountered this issue
Because a seat doesnt recline at a sharp angle that would smash the screen.
The only way this happens is if the top of the screen is jammed under the plastic lip where the fold down tray clips in when not in use. When the seat reclines it then compresses the comp. screen under that lip. If this is what happened then that computer owner is just simply a dumbarse.
*Flying is a pain not because of the expense, delayed flights, lost luggage, etc.. It's because everyone else looses their damn mind when flying and become incredibly inconsiderate.
*Just notice all those aholes who jump out of their seat when the plane lands or who are always complaining to the front counter or flight attendants.

Hard time sleeping with my knees bouncing your fricking head the whole time. If you recline so far you are touching my legs, I'm going to make you miserable
Does your husband get embarrassed when you act so passive-aggressively?

This is going to end with airplanes getting rid of recliners isn't it?
Sure hope so. The whole concept is ridiculous.

You mean a seat that reclines a whole damn inch really inconveniences you?
If you are so damn tall that the reclining seat in front of you is an issue then you should stretch those gangly limbs yours and flap your goofy arse to wherever you would like to go.

Since you'd probably have to take a second mortgage on your trailer to fly, no one is concerned about you.
So far off, I fly very often but thanks for playing.

To the ANTI-RECLINING CROWD:
Please take your complaints up with the following:
1) the airlines for offering seats that have the function of reclining.
Additionally, in addition to conveying your concerns about the reclining feature on their seats; you should also request that any future orders from Boeing, Airbus, Etc on new planes request that the seats not be constructed to have this feature.
Until then- recline away.

For frick's sake. I hate you uncouth hoi polloi. There are a lot of things you can do. You can fart in people's faces. There are certain things that we do, or do not do, out of courtesy and to facilitate social mores. As seat spaces have gotten smaller and smaller, reclining can be annoying. I'm not talking about cross-country treks or overseas flights, but does it kill you to sit up straight for a couple of hours?
Do the seats on your mobile scooters that you have to haul your fat asses up on recline as well?

It's bad luck but the guy should've been more aware. Dont tuck the top of your labtop into such a snug space

I don't recline but I respect a person's ability to.

What's the issue? Is the seat in front of you jamming into your knees? If you sit back in your seat there is negligible further interference from a reclined seat in front of you
Are you sitting like this person? If so, stop doing that.

Does the extra $17 for an Economy Plus seat exceed the vacation budget?
