I think they drastically underestimated the rainfall for EBR.. Not looking to good right now, with no let up for another 24-36hrs.

I’m in DS near the border of Central. The water isn’t draining and it’s been coming down relentlessly for hours. Very worried to say the least.

I think we’ve already gotten our storm allotment. It’s blowing up over my house and building as it goes N.
Just got the flood alert.

Good lord, who are these people that decide to send these alerts out about rain at 2am? Seems like they could target them.

Good luck, WAFB app said it was supposed to slack off around 2
It’s a little quieter here, hopefully that’s the case & it has time to,drain before it starts again

NOAA was only projecting 4-6" for btr metro last I saw. We got that in 5hrs. Gonna be a lot of flooded out streets in the morning.

I think I’m going to try & get some sleep
Hopefully the rain slows down, not only for potential flooding but the roads are going to be a mess tomorrow
Y’all stay safe

In in North Zachary almost slaughter and we've got at least 6.5 inches. It's been in incredibly dry here the past month so hopefully this is just a flash Flood situation.

NOAA says the Comite is rising. Is it time to worry?
Posted on 10/9/20 at 2:08 am to biohzrd
Comite and Amite got a lot more water coming from the looks of that cell moving N between Jackson and Greensburg.

My rain gage maxed out at 8” about an hour ago in central. Yard is full and water creeping to slab. Ready for this break to start so we can drain. Only other time it was this bad for us was 2016 .

Finally starting to slack off here in Mid city. Hopefully it continues clearing up to you all and it has some time to drain.

Looking like y’all are gonna get a break until later in the morning.
