It’s a fricking nightmare. I’ve been in traffic over an hour and I haven’t even gotten to LC yet.

That's because traffic is diverted off of the interstate onto the feeder road due to construction on the main lanes of the highway

It's usually not that bad - it's been that way for a couple of weeks, but with the influx of cars on the highway today I can see where it's causing an issue.

Interstate is closed, but they route the interstate onto a 2 lane feeder, no biggie. Plus you can take 124 around it

Or go down to 73

Pretty heavy traffic between Lafayette in Baton Rouge. It's backed up a couple of miles from the Mississippi river bridge. Imagine that

Remember during the spring and summer I-10 south of the Goodyear plant to Winnie was a huge shite show when they were tearing down and replacing over passes. I would purposely look at My map and reroute through bridge city if needed.

Yeah they’ve been slow poking the hell out of that construction. I live south of I-10 and try not to go north of 124 more than necessary

The University of Oklahoma is sending one of its mobile doppler radar trucks to Louisiana for the National Weather Service to use in place of the destroyed NEXRAD radar in Lake Charles. While the Ft. Polk radar site provides coverage of the area, its distance doesn't allow the NWS to see the lower levels of the hurricane. The doppler radar truck will allow them to do that.

At this rate, I’ll still be on I-10 when Delta gets here.

And traffic is moving through Houston with no issues. You probably will have a typical backup crossing the ship channel on the East Tx freeway.. and the construction around Mont Belvieu. Buc-ee’s I bet is elbows and assholes crowded. Don’t see any issues coming into Houston within the beltway
