My wife said that, and my response was "bullshite".

Then I looked it up, and I'll be damned if KPLC didn't have an article stating the sheriff issued a mandatory evacuation effective at 5 PM today.

If Levi is right, he said most of the bad wind would be displaced to its east. Hopefully that ends up being the case if it does track further west.

Afternoon heating has something to do with it. There's some deep thermodynamics going on there that I'm not going to try to parse out.
