Well with the way it’s tracking I believe we will see one more shift to the east before it’s all said and done.

I've given up on predicting this. Once it crosses the Yucatan and interacts with Gamma and get data of the steering we'll finally have good info. Either way, all of SLA should be prepared for a major hurricane.

From user hurricanehunter69 on Storm2k, he's in NOLA:

Okay, so we are on advisory # 9 and the forecast track has shifted west on every single one since it's inception. No surprise that right after the NOAA G-IV made it's first run that the track shifted back to the east. The 5pm advisory had Delta making a Gulf coast landfall at 92.9. The 11pm advisory has made it's very first EAST shift to 92.2. Curious to see if the east shifts continue....? My money is on that they do.

It's a NOLA weatherboard poster doing what NOLA weatherboard posters do - wishcast to NOLA. Same with Houston posters, Florida panhandle posters, etc.

This will be the strongest hurricane BR will have seen in quite sometime. Stronger than Gustav I would think.

If there is any other positive to the storm projections besides weakening at landfall, it's that the models appear to move this bitch through pretty quickly.

Longitude coordinates. New Orleans is longitude 90.07. 92.9 degrees longitude is almost 3 degrees west of New Orleans.

There's not a Houston/NOLA wish casting war going on over there is it?

Shouldn't see colossal rainfall totals this time around, for once.

I don't know - I can't do the full on weather boards for that very reason though.
