Now if 104.5 would get rid of that insufferable Moscona, all would be right in the radio world.

The Road Gang. Charlie Douglas started it. Dave Nemo was the weekend guy, then he eventually took over full time.

The clowns on Saints Talk want WWL to hire him.

Deke was bad but Tommy Tucker is a waste of air time. My last eye exam had tougher questions than his interview with Mitch Landrieu.

Couldn’t stand him. Tucker is equally horrendous.

Fittingly, this is who his voice always reminded me of:

Bellevia was kind of a jerk to callers. I won't miss him
Buddy D had fun w/callers, even when he insulted them. It was entertaining to listen to.

Deke humorlessly took calls and was about as much fun as watching an autopsy

This. Deke was just an arse.... not in the 'entertaining' way but like he didn't want to do the job anymore.

I'm sure T-bob wants out of BR and that 7am radio show as well, lol.

The only time it was enjoyable listening to Deke was when he was talking about wrestling and high school football.

It used to be unique
there are other clear channel stations

Didn't that run opposite Ralph Emery's show out of Nashville?

What does a guy like Deke do upon being canned from a regional sports show? regional radio and TV seems like an awful job to be fired from.

All that power and still nobody listens. Ratings have been in the garbage the last few years, but that's basically all of terrestrial radio.

WWL's signal is unique in that it reaches the entire middle part of the country, from Canada to Mexico. KWKH out of Shreveport has the same power, but throws its signal west. You can pick it up at night in New Mexico, but reception is sketchy in Cenla. I don't know about Ralph Emery. WLAC out of Nashville barely reaches this area.
