re: DEI is ruining In Flight Service

I’ve been flying first class for 15+ years when I travel internationally for work

It’s been gay men in the first class cabin prob half the time

Delta has completely sucked since the pandemic. Dropped them completely 2 years ago after 14 straight years as a Gold or Platinum Medallion.

10-15 years ago if there was an issue in ATL (ground stop, weather, etc.) staff would stay well after their shift to make things as smooth as possible. You’d see red coats at every turn, pilots helping gate agents, flight attendants directing folks in the terminal.

Now you’re lucky to get someone to look up from their monitor.

100% DEI hires. Delta made a big push to diversify their staff several years ago. This is no secret.

Now did this practice make others not "want these jobs anymore"? Probably. Being a Delta stewardess/flight attendant used to be a solid gig with great benefits.
