Audiologist shouldn't be an ENT.

They aren't attempting to be an ENT, but the ENT isn't going to diagnose hearing loss

What's the difference in training between PTs with masters and those with doctorates?

For starters, another year of coursework providing more specialized education in their ability to evaluate, and two additional clinical rotations.

And as I said earlier. Walk into any Outpaitent PT clinic in Louisiana and you'll know you aren't in a physician's office

Your wife/sister/mom is an audiologist, huh?

This thread is full of beta men knighting for their female family members.

And I don't think a dentist would tell you they're a doctor

My DDS' website leads off with" Dr. John Doe provides exceptional dental care for the Baton Rouge area" and he's very respected in the area.

At this point, everyone has figured out that you're butthurt over other medical professionals getting to call themselves doctor (with a doctorate level degree) and God forbid, wearing a white coat. Give up this false pretense of protecting the patients from themselves. Oh, and we already know you are not in primary care.

I'm a senior in a BSN, RN program and both my parents are dentists. First of all, this law is ridiculous. Nurse practitioners, even those with a DNP(Doctor of nursing practice) are not nearly educated to the extent of MDs. There is a tremendous amount of chemistry and biochemistry that MDs get that are necessary building blocks to truely understanding pharmacology. Nurse practitioners DO NOT get anywhere close to this level of knowledge. Removing MD supervision would be a huge mistake and people WILL die if this nonsense is passed.

As far as the name thing goes. Call yourself a freakin physician. A lot of people have earned doctorates/PhDs in their field and have earned the respect of being called Doctor.

Think of all the veterinarians trying to pass as human physicians!!! We must remove Dr. from their name.
