Keep hearing about round 2 in a couple of weeks. Any truth to it?

Snow + wind (gusting > 35 mph) + visibility (reduced to 0.25 miles or less)

The snow doesn't have to be actively falling either... snow from the ground being kicked up by the wind can cause blizzard conditions as well

All of those plus the conditions have to be met for 3 hours.

I dealt with that crap about a week ago…took me a solid week to start improving. I had to go out and wrap spigots during that shite.

And just like that, today I feel about 90% better

Crazy. The only issue I’m feeling at the moment is my stomach/chest is a little sore and my throat burns from throwing up yesterday (took my meds on an empty stomach and puked for about 15 minutes, wife/kids thought I was dying)

One of the Euro runs showed something but it was an outlier. TBH I wouldn't mind it. Our location missed most of the snow.

still see cars trying to drive on this shite in Metry

I had a good time driving in it to go sledding on the levee then to go play in the city. Then go to a snowball fight.

Weeks like this come along only once or twice in a lifetime in the south!

Y’all still have snow?

Yeah in the shade in my back yard and what's left of my snowmen.
Had 10" on driveway and some piles were as deep as 16".

there’s a couple feet of snow still on my back deck, combo of the 6” that fell plus all the snow that slid off the roof of my carport. It gets full shade so it’s still pretty intact clean snow. Plenty to make a snowman with

Everything else is gone pecan

How cold did it get where you live?? This has been about the coldest January in my 30 years. The lows this month so far in zone 9A Albany, GA:

23/24 days under 40F
17 days under 32F
8 days under 28F
Absolute low of 13.2F

Usually we get a couple hard freezes and 22-24F at the coldest. Good chance I'll lose 20+ ft citrus trees this year.

Most of the reliable models show it up in N. Arkansas and above.

Driving around Ascension Parish last night, you could still see the last of some melting snow - mostly in the corners of roofs and on inclines heavily shaded by trees. This morning it's all gone.

Pretty wild that nearly 5 days after the first snowfall began in South Louisiana, there was still evidence that it happened.
