Also had a huge arse owl fly right by my head when I was sitting on the porch, posted up in a tree like 10 feet away and just watched the snow with me for a bit. Pretty cool.
Have you never seen The Mothman Prophecies?? Better watch yourself.

quote:yeah I notice that too. I think it was supposed to much lower than that by now. I would think the warmer than forecast temps could have a big impact on the snow event, no?
can’t believe BR is still above freezing.

I’m on the west side and it just started about 10 minutes ago. I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen snow before sleet or rain in Baton Rouge that I can recall anyway.

I hope you guys get buried. It has underperformed to the west so far.
Posted on 1/21/25 at 3:12 am to BOSCEAUX
It’s already under performing here. It was supposed to start around 11:30. It’s just light flurries here so far. I’m not expecting five or 6 inches accumulation.

If Richard Gere and Laura Linney show up, might as well start getting your affairs in order.

I think it’s gonna get over your way Bosceaux, for days now it’s been showing the snow starting at 4am here and it actually started around 1:30. Still plenty of moisture moving up from the Gulf.
Posted on 1/21/25 at 3:17 am to BOSCEAUX
The snow is steady but light. I canst believe we underperformed this much. It is what it is.

Decent snow shower and winds in Youngsville right now. I can only imagine what it will look like a daybreak

Alexandria dusted over pretty good. Coming down steady but not real heavy. Some big flakes mixed in.

Children hope for this stuff. Talking about their fricking dogs and kids. Adults realize that weather events like this can effect working people. So no, you aren't alone
