The only time it bothered me was last year. We go to Topsail NC and last year they had all those shark attacks. One which was within miles of our location. Two guys were fishing with live bait right next to our spot. We had been out way before the came down to the beach. We had 2 small kids in the water.

Well that is inconsiderate. Never fish, especially shark fish around swimmers.
They do a lot of shark fishing on the Texas coast and most seem to respect this rule. Really thou, the shark fishing is better at night so there are no that many run ins.
