Taking a dead spider's lifeless body and reanimating it as a robot is an idea that would be the stuff of nightmares for most people. But scientists aren't most people. Recently, a team of researchers turned the corpses of wolf spiders into arcade-style claw machines that could pick up and move a variety of objects — including other dead wolf spiders.

Move to necrophilia board if this is wrong place for thread.

Jesus Christ! They're turning them in to robots and fricking them too?

It's about time scientists did some old school crazy experiments.

There was a movie in the early 80's.
Gene Simmons from KISS was the villain.
Tom Selleck was the hero.
Runaway was the name of the movie.

Reminds me of the zombie spiders created by dirt dauber wasps. They build their little mud tubes around your garage, and when you bust them open, it's full of living but paralyzed spiders. The wasps hunt them, sting and paralyze them, then carry them back to the tube where the wasp larvae eat them alive. Look it up.

I think the word you are looking for is necromancer which is bringing things back to life... which is different from necrophilia which is .. something else.
