The Europeans do Day Month Year and we obviously do Month Day Year. Which do you prefer and why?

I’ve been having to switch between these a lot recently but honestly, DD/MM/YY is a harder habit to drop even though I’ve been doing MM/DD/YY all my life

YYYY-MM-DD is the format used by databases and best for data manipulation

Typically use YYYYMMDD when I am saving files so that they are easy to view in sequential order. In correspondence I use November 6, 2018.

I can do any, but the world needs to decide on one and outlaw the rest. There are way too many opportunities for legit confusion.

What is your hot take one the metric system?

Should the US go full metric? In the science community it is pretty much standard, but in the other fields of commerce there are pieces of it showing up in the things we buy.

It's incredibly easy to reformat any dob to YYYY-MM-DD, so you've got to be a psychopsth to actually recite or write your own dob that way.

I work outside the US and with a few Americans so I have just started DD-write out month-YYYY to avoid all confusion

It's a 4'x8' sheet good world.
Studs 16" on center.
Torque in foot lbs.

The only reason this isn't a bigger deal is there is an ocean separating us and Europe.

The American military (the guys that actually did the arse kicking) uses the DD/MM/YYYY format.
