Glock 17 can hold up to 33 rounds and would be easier to wield in a small space. A mag can be changed in a few seconds.

There are approximately 30 million semi auto rifles in circulation here. That's being conservative too. If these firearms are so fricking dangerous why aren't we having a death toll in the hundreds every week? It's obvious that these guns are the cause but yet they aren't killing that many. Why?

Second of all, the homicide rate is not the concern here. The concern is mass casualties against the general public.
Joe Schmo and family can avoid being a casualty of gang violence in the inner city or a home invasion based on where they go and where they live. But these mass shootings are indiscriminate - it could be a Walmart, a food festival, a school, or a restaurant district. There is no public safe haven - that's what's scary.
