starting in June. Have lunch at the Florabama and be back in time to catch peak traffic on I-10. All or $490 plus tax and fees Southeast Beach Express

It’s a 4 hour drive. How much time are you saving by flying when you include travel to & from each airport, especially if you live in south BR or the LP/AP area? 30 mins? And you have to pack all your beach gear for flying. Maybe someone else can explain the appeal, but I doubt this service lasts more than a season

Apparently you fly in and out of executive terminals, so this would cut down on typical wait times in the airport.

The flights aren’t for those who need to pack beach gear.

Guess it would be worth it if just trying to do real estate deals

Only ones that can afford this for the fam is OT Ballers, and maybe some old money types with a condo in Gulf Shores they use exclusively.
For a family of 4 that is more than 2 grand. While a tank of gas in a loaded F-150 is still about 70 dollars.
I know air travel, is easier and shorter but not at those rates.
If I had that kind of walking around money, I would learn to fly, buy a Cessna, and fly myself for less.

Not that I would spend 500 bucks to fly to gulf shores.... But since when is that not walking around money

I’m from BR and live in Gulf Shores. I can make the drive in 3.5 hours or less on a good day. This would be convenient, but not for $490. Drop the price and keep total travel time 90 minutes or less and I’d consider it.

I would pay that just to skip traffic on 98/59

On busy weekends, it could be worth it. I think many business people may use it to meet their family after they are already there.

If I’m paying $500 to fly to the beach it sure as hell ain’t going to be gulf shores.

Nothing says “Baton Rouge” better than the shitty water tower pictured in The Advocate’s stirry:

You’re triggered by a water tower?

Passengers will travel on 30-seat executive jets that leave from the airport’s Signature Flight Support.
They should do this from BTR to Hobby

Other Airports have ‘em.

It's call masking tape and a can of spray paint.

If I owned properties there and needed to zip down for a day, $500 isn’t bad.
