I've cut down on my drinking pretty significantly in the past 2 years, but I still probably end up getting tipsy/drunk once every 1-2 weeks and completely hammered like once every 6 months. I've started to notice that I no longer get the normal hangover (headache, dizzy, nausea), rather mine is more mental. I mix up words, do things backwards, just generally frick shite up and have brain fog. My wife's hangover symptoms are mainly physical, and it just strikes me as weird how two people can have such different reactions to alcohol.

Anyone else get like this?

Yes. I get the Hangxiety now. That's why I slowed down my drinking.

Sure you're not mixing xanax with that

You’ve fried too many brain cells. So it takes longer to recover.

The booze is ruining your sleep. Being passed out and getting good sleep aren’t the same thing, and it gets worse with age.

I'm not right for 2-3 days after a hard night of drinking, but I've always been like that and the reason I only drink every couple months. Anxiety for me as well.

Ok. I get anxiety when I'm hungover. Is that better?

This happened to me, big time. Got so bad that even moderate drinking messed me up. Fall asleep, no problem, but after 2 hours or so, wide awake for most of the rest of the night.

It led to me quitting alcohol all together.

This has been happening to me for years. It has nothing to do with the reduced frequency of your drinking and more to do with your brains ability to process alcohol as you get older.

Towards the end of my drinking, I would get that too. Of course, towards the end of my drinking, I was f'n more stuff up while drinking too so that kinda goes hand and hand.

If I have a lot to drink, and get a full night's sleep, I'm usually fine the next day.

If I have a lot to drink, and sleep like shite or get woken up early, I usually feel like shite the next day.

I also rarely have headaches either way.

Hmmm, maybe.

Could be. But I'll never know considering every time I go to the doctor they are trying to rush me out the door and I'm only allowed to talk about a single issue each visit.

I turn 29 this year and I still love to drink but it’s gotten a lot more moderate in amount due to needing the whole next day to recover after really tying one on. Plus my itch of the buzz is usually scratched after 5-6 beers
