He has played at Texas club 40+ times. Some shows were great and others not so much but the Rogers family loves DAC.

I saw him at the Bayou Tavern in Tallulah. 1979ish. Asleep At the Wheel was with him. He had just had his appendix out and sang in a wheelchair.

I saw him at Off the Wagon in Montgonery ~2008. It was so damn hot and smelly in that bar. I didnt know about his no AC rule. But it will be a long time before i forget the shower sex i had that night. Thanks DAC.

I saw him at the Old South Jamboree in Walker circa 1975. I was young and my older brother took me. I remember the crowd being rather white.

Played on the front yard of one of the GT frat houses in the early 2000s. I could not believe the shite that was blasting across a campus in the middle of Atlanta.

Don't remember issues with the air conditioning, but I was used to crowded shows in burned out Houston rock clubs that may or may not have even had working AC's, so it may not have stood out to me that much.
