I may be able to forgive him for all of his nonsense, but I don’t know if I will ever be able to truly forgive he and Nirvana for ruining rock for me.

The problem was what came after had the same style of music but no talent to carry it. The reason Nirvana worked is because Cobain had the ability to sell it. The original grunge bands had the talent (although I would say Nirvana was probably dead last of the 4 major grunge breakthrough bands) but the imitators that came later got more and more diluted until we were left with Nickelback.

He is a passable drummer for the genre of music he participated in. He has been way more impressive as a guitar player/songwriter than he ever was as a drummer. Taylor Hawkins was a legitimately great drummer, Dave cannot pull off 1/4 of what Hawkins was able to do.
Does Grohl suck as drummer relative to the average person? No.
Does he suck as a drummer relative to the average professional drummer? Absolutely.

Being famous doesn't make you good at anything other than being famous. Hawk Tuah.
He's famous for being in famous bands. He's a much better front man and guitarist than drummer.
And this "guy posting on tigerdroppings from couch" has played drums since he was 4 and I've played every type of drum you can imagine. I'm saying from an actual musicians perspective, he's not a great drummer. He's barely a good drummer.

Bassist/drummer of 30 yrs here. Dave's a fine drummer, nothing special. I enjoyed his work with QotSA.
