If I ever go I would never eat there. Plenty of restaurants nearby to grab a bite to eat and then head over for some games and drinks.

Went there tonight:

-Guy checking for IDs at the door was shouting don't forget to tip the door guy.
-Packed and lines everywhere.
-Elevators reeked of hash.
-30 minute wait once inside at check in. Some of the lines were longer at different seating areas.
-80 minute wait for food. Managers were scrambling from the staff not being properly trained - wrong table orders, cold food, POS problems etc.
-Rough crowd.
-Hour wait to get out of the parking garage.

Lmao...expected no less.

yea, the location is too good for it to be overrun by trash, but i suppose anything is possible.

Hate to bust your bubble but any establishment can be overrun. There's a D&B next to my gym. In an extremely wealthy neighborhood. Does that stop these trashy families from coming? Not one bit. I've never actually seen anyone from a respectable part of town go in there.

Late to thread. Been to Dave and Bustas once. That place blows donkey balls except for the pool tables. They are really nice

That's not a "really wealthy" neighborhood.

It's opening night. Anyone who has been involved in an opening night at a restaurant knows how tough it is. Cut them some slack. Now if they do not fix problèmes a few months down the road let them have it

You'd think a chain like Dave and Busters would have a plan and people in place to deal with opening night issues like that. 80 minute wait for food at a chain that is used to handling crowds (and I imagine it's a pretty similar crowd at most locations) is insane.

On the other hand I refuse to cut slack to anyone that would go to opening night at a dave and busters in the first place.

Like many entertainment places the best time to go for most people will be after work/happy hour on weekdays and daytime during the weekends. If you're there after 9 pm then you deal with whatever and whoever is there.

I would treat it the same way I treat places like Barcadia (NOLA one which I like going in early evening but would never be caught there late night) and even Shamrock.

That place is gonna kill it. All those office buildings and apartments within walking distance are gonna keep it packed

I agree. The location will see a TON of people(with money) before and after events at the Dome, Arena, Champions Square.

Retarded pessimists just hate Mitch(I do too) and are ragging everything Nola.

I know my son and I will be in there before Pelicans games next season.

Went there once for an LSU game thinking it would be like an Irish pub.

There is a plan but there is only so much you can do. First of all, french quarter employees generally are terrible. On top of that, they are very new. They may have been trained but they do not have experience. You bring people in to help but there is only so much you can do.

Location is great for them to stay busy between what you mentioned plus being within walking distance from the Quarter and bunch of tourist places, and being able to draw in the business crowd for lunch during the week and happy hour.

But...if they have issues with young trashy crowds starting fights inside, it won't take too many incidents like that to keep the decent folks from going back very often. If I'm going to spend $100+ to take the family out to eat and play a few games, I don't want to have to worry about some ghetto trash getting into fights while I'm trying to enjoy dinner and play some games with my 9 year old.
