Daughters First Halloween - Family Costume Ideas

It's my daughters first halloween and my wife has been on my arse to come up with an idea about what we could all be as a family. I've been thinking for days and can't come up with any ideas. So I've decided to solicit the OT's advice. My wife wants to do The Little Mermaid, but I think thats pretty unoriginal. Help me out?

How old is she? Is she walking yet?
ETA: Tell your wife if you do the LIttle Mermaid, the only character you'll play is King Triton and she has to be Ursula; that should go over well.
